Unkempt hair, a timid posture and one missing leg suggests that Eli’s life has been rough. He was relinquished by owners after neighbors accused him of raiding the henhouse. It’s hard to imagine a three-legged dog doing much damage with proper supervision, but for safety’s sake, a farm-animal-free zone is desired. Eli offers proof that loose dogs in moving trucks are a bad idea – jumping from one is how he lost his leg.
