The following nonprofit organizations need volunteer help. If you’re interested, please contact them directly:

Adopt-A-Grandparent, Life Care Center of Coeur d’Alene: Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to “adopt” a resident of Life Care Center for visits and outings once or twice a week. Volunteers also needed to accompany groups of residents on shopping and other trips. Phone Michelle, 762-1122.

Women’s Center: Volunteers are needed to work in the thrift store and office. Also, volunteers are needed to participate in crisis intervention; training is provided. Hours and days very flexible. Call Linda, 664-9303.

Young Life: Volunteers are needed as leaders in programs for junior and senior high school students. Young Life is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian outreach organization. Call Kevin, 661-4724.

Catholic Charities: Volunteers are needed for family education of parents in recovery coupled with support education for children of addictive parents. Seven-week sessions begin Monday evening. Facilitators for children’s groups also needed. Call Terri, 676-1974.

North Idaho College Adult Basic Education Center: Volunteers are needed to work with individual students one to two hours a week at either the Post Falls or Coeur d’Alene center. This is basic tutoring. Call Kim at 676-8005.
