We spotted Socorro Erickson, pulling a little shopping basket on wheels behind her, at the December Flea Market in Spokane.

Socorro, who describes herself as a “junker,” proudly showed us her newest treasures.

This trip she snagged a blue and white plate featuring a snowing winter scene and a handful of vintage greeting cards and postcards.

The plate may be used as a gift. When asked what attracted her to the old cards, she didn’t hesitate. “I just love the way they look,” she said. “And I’m going to keep them out for everyone to enjoy.”
