Council declares parcels surplus
The Spokane City Council on Monday approved a resolution declaring seven properties as surplus, allowing the parcels to go up for sale to the public. The properties had been held by the city for utility use.
The surplus properties are a 3.3-acre parcel at Buckeye Avenue and Upriver Drive, a 10,000-square-foot parcel near 14th Avenue and F St., a 30,000-square-foot parcel at 14th Avenue and Milton Street, a 14-acre gravel pit property near East Broadway and Carnahan, an 8,000-square-foot property at 14th Avenue and Cochran Street, a 15,000-squre-foot parcel at 34th Avenue and Polk Road and a 5,000-square-foot parcel at Fifth Avenue and E Street.
Also on the North Side, a fire-damaged house at 1113 W. Sinto Ave. is going to be demolished under a contract approved by the council Monday.
