Look at my treasure!
Spokane resident Don Barlow is proud of his Native American heritage. He is also a lover of antiques.
Barlow’s collections include a number of fine early pieces of furniture from Pennsylvania and other parts of the Northeast.
He also has a large collection of baskets made by the Yukor tribe of Northern California.
Barlow’s prized possession is the cradleboard which was used by Native American women to carry their infants.
“It really is a beautiful piece,” Barlow said. “I have it hanging on the wall as a piece of art and I don’t ever get tired of looking at it.”
