Page Ahead – nonprofit children’s literacy program needs volunteers to help with literacy nights, book distributions and organizing book drives. For more information, contact Sarah Johnson at 789-3548.

Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery – is looking for volunteers to work with children up to age 6 who are at risk of abuse and neglect. Volunteers must be at least 18, commit to three hours per week for six months, complete an application, screening and training process. Contact Christine Ruggles at 535-3155 for more information.

The Wishing Star Foundation – needs a volunteer to assist the development coordinator with a variety of projects and office work for 5-10 hours a week. For more information, contact Holly or Jodi at 744-3411.

Goodwill Industries – is looking for mentors to assist with the Planning Action for Youth Success program. The program offers low-income youth age 17 to 21 the opportunity to gain training, paid work experience, and job placement services. Background check is required. Contact Nichole Bogarosh at 344-0161.
