Trentwood SCOPE – Volunteers discussed upcoming law enforcement classes designed for neighborhood watch volunteers. The classes are expected to be held in March. (Source: President Jan Eastman)
Newman Lake SCOPE – The Fire District 13 commissioners have invited the volunteers to attend an appreciation dinner with firefighters and Fire Auxiliary members in March. Volunteers will now be able to access information such as crime hot spot maps on the computer. They also discussed several upcoming training programs. (Source: Secretary Katie Rulffes)
East SCOPE – New officers were installed. Volunteers are planning an open house for April 22 that will include a blood mobile, and bike and helmet giveaways. Fire District 13 (Newman Lake) – Commissioners are advertising the open fire chief position in the Daily Dispatch, which circulates in the Northwest. They are hoping to begin the selection process in March. (Source: Secretary Kathleen Small)
