The law office of Stamper, Rubens, Stocker & Smith has hired Steven O. Anderson. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and holds a master’s degree in taxation.

Jason Durgan has been hired as a scientist I in analytical quality control at HollisterStier. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Gonzaga University.

HollisterStier has hired Sasha Edmunds as a scientist I in analytical quality control. She holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Washington State University and previously worked as a shift manager at Quizno’s Subs in Pullman.

Heidi Whitman has been hired as marketing and events coordinator at the Spokane Regional Chamber of Commerce. She previously worked as a marketing coordinator at Zak Designs and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Century 21 Beutler & Associates has hired Brynn Martin as a real estate agent.

Dawn McKenna has been hired as a real estate agent at Century 21 Beutler & Associates.

Jim Culora has been hired as a quality control manager at Empire Airlines. He previously worked at Delta Air Lines as an aircraft maintenance technician and quality assurance inspector.

Beth Barclay has been hired as executive director at ICARE Children & Family Advocacy Center in Coeur d’Alene.

Integrus Architecture has hired Trevor Lunde as an intern architect. He is working toward a master’s degree in architecture at Montana State University.

Ann McKeon has been hired as a distributor at SeneGence International.

HollisterStier has hired Sabrina Bedient as an analytical quality control scientist I. She previously worked in the analytical science lab at Washington State University and holds a master’s degree in biochemistry from WSU.

PROMOTED

Kristi Fountain has been promoted to development director of the Spokane Guilds’ School & Neuromuscular Center. She has been at the center since November 2001 and was previously the events manager.

The Spokane Guilds’ School & Neuromuscular Center has promoted Trina Schmid to events manager. She previously worked as the assistant events manager.

William Ettinger has been promoted from associate professor to full professor at Gonzaga University. He teaches in the College of Arts and Sciences.

KUDOS

Carole Winn has earned the designation of the Worldwide Recreation and Resort Sales Council. Winn is an agent in the Post Falls office of Windermere Real Estate.

Shelley Sholl has earned the Certified Medical Transport Executive designation from the Association of Air Medical Services. Sholl is the chief communications specialist at MedStar.

Leland Trailer and Equipment Company has been recognized as one of the top five Reinke trailer dealerships for the 2006 model year.

Robert Schwartz has received a lifetime achievement award at the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference. Schwarz is a distinguished professor of entrepreneurship and a Foundation chair holder at Eastern Washington University.

ELECTED/APPOINTED

Dr. Kevin Johnson has been elected as a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Johnson is co-founder of the Laser & Vein Center, Reflections Med Spas and Lake City Surgeons.

Kent Nelson has been appointed president of the Eastern Washington University Eagle Athletic Association. He is the owner and broker of Gallery Mortgage Corp.

RETIRING

Amidee “Ace” Walden has retired from the North Idaho College Foundation. Walden is 99 years old and is a founding member of the foundation.

GIFTS

Foundation Northwest has granted $12,000 to the Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d’Alene. The funds will be used for the theatre’s “Performing Arts Access for All” project.
