Seattle storms past Lynx

Lauren Jackson had 25 points and Janell Burse added 24 as the Seattle Storm used a 19-0 second-half run to defeat the Minnesota Lynx 92-75 on Saturday night.

Jackson shot 9 for 10 from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds for Seattle after having sat out the previous game because of a stress fracture in her left shin.

Burse shot 9 for 10 from the floor while Sue Bird set a franchise record with 14 assists and added 11 points.

Jackson, who was scoreless for 17 1/2 minutes, played 27 minutes in coach Anne Donovan’s scaled-back approach to resting her star player.

Sun 76, Fever 66: At Indianapolis, Katie Douglas scored 22 points to lead five Connecticut players in double figures as the Sun defeated Indiana in a contest for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Sparks 80, Mystics 75: At Los Angeles, Chamique Holdsclaw scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds and the Sparks defeated Washington.

Silver Stars 69, Sky 57: At San Antonio, Katie Feenstra had a season-high 16 points and added 11 rebounds to lead the Silver Stars past Chicago. Rookie Candice Dupree led Chicago with 16 points and nine rebounds

Monarchs 65, Sting 57: At Charlotte, N.C., Erin Buescher had 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds and Nicole Powell hit a key 3-pointer in the final minute as Sacramento won.
