Guest organist will perform at St. John’s cathedral

The Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., is presenting organist John Bodinger at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Bodinger is the music director and organist at Manito Presbyterian Church and a member of the music faculty at Whitworth College.

Bodinger will perform music from Bach, Mendelssohn and others.

Before the concert, the church is offering “open door” hours from 1 to 4 p.m. for anyone who wishes to tour the Gothic interior of the church.

Family Fun Festival

Foothills Community Church, 11102 N. Forker Road, is presenting the Foothills Family Fun Festival Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Activities for the day will include a car show, craft fair, bounce house, cupcake walk and putting green.

There also will be live music, food and games.

Vacation Bible school

Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd., is presenting “Adventure of the Treasure Seekers: Exploring God’s Promises” Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

This vacation Bible school is for kids who are entering kindergarten through the sixth grade.

Activities will include games, crafts and stories.

The church also is offering a supervised lunchtime and tutoring in reading and math on Tuesday and Thursday after class. Children attending should bring their own sack lunch.

Classes

Ancient Traditions Community Church, 1928 E. Rich Ave., is offering an Enneagram personality types class Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This month’s class will discuss the Type 2 personality: the helper.

There is a suggested donation of $5.
