Nationals 8, Marlins 7 (11): At Washington, Ryan Zimmerman delivered a game-winning, two-out single in the 11th to lift Washington over Florida.

Padres 5, Phillies 3: At Philadelphia, rookie Josh Barfield had a career-high four hits to push San Diego over the Phillies for its seventh win in 11 games.

Mets 7, Pirates 5: At New York, Cliff Floyd and David Wright each drove in two runs and Steve Trachsel allowed seven hits in seven innings to lead the Mets over Pittsburgh.

Braves 8, Reds 7 (10): At Atlanta, Jeff Francoeur’s two-out single in the 10th drove in the winning run as Atlanta survived a late Cincinnati rally.

Brewers 2, Cubs 0: At Milwaukee, Chris Capuano retired the first nine batters he faced and pitched a five-hit shutout as Milwaukee beat Chicago.

Astros 4, Cardinals 2: At Houston, Mike Lamb homered in the first, setting the tone for Houston’s fifth win in six games. Brad Lidge earned the save, his 14th in his last 15 opportunities.

Giants 5, Dodgers 4: At Los Angeles, Pedro Feliz had three hits and drove in two runs, reliever Brad Hennessey worked out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam, and San Francisco beat Los Angeles, ending the Dodgers’ three-game winning streak.
