Letter clarification

The Spokesman-Review

In a letter published July 4 under the headline “Anonymity the best policy,” Spokane homicide victim Ernest “Sonny” Hanlin’s name was changed to Hamlin in keeping with earlier news stories published in The Spokesman- Review. This spelling is based on court and police documentation, while Hanlin is the name under which the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office issued a death certificate.
