Storm hand Liberty their 10th straight loss
Iziane Castro Marques scored a career-high 26 points and Lauren Jackson added 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Seattle Storm to a 91-54 victory over the Liberty in New York on Saturday night.
The Liberty suffered their franchise-worst 10th straight loss.
Betty Lennox had 14 points and Sue Bird added 10 for Seattle, which won for the second time in six games and had its largest margin of victory this season.
Erin Thorn scored 19 points for the Liberty, who absorbed their worst loss in history.
Sparks 73, Fever 68: At Indianapolis, Lisa Leslie scored 11 of her 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead Los Angeles to a victory over Indiana.
Temeka Johnson added 15 points for the Sparks, who shot 51 percent from the field and became the first WNBA team to reach 20 wins.
Mercury 78, Sting 74: At Charlotte, N.C., Diana Taurasi scored 27 points, five in the final minute including the tie-breaking basket with 27 seconds to play, to lead Phoenix to a victory over Charlotte.
Cappie Pondexter scored 17 points for the Mercury, hitting two free throws with 11 seconds left to secure the win.
Shock 89, Sky 70: At Auburn Hills, Mich., Swin Cash scored 13 of her 17 points in the first quarter, leading Detroit to a rout of Chicago.
The Shock won for the fifth time in six games, while Chicago dropped its sixth straight.
Monarchs 86, Lynx 59: At Minneapolis, Erin Buescher and Nicole Powell each scored 12 points to lead Sacramento past Minnesota for its seventh straight win.
Sun 79, Silver Stars 61: At San Antonio, Margo Dydek scored a season-high 18 points against her former team as Connecticut beat San Antonio.
Dydek also had eight rebounds, six blocked shots and four steals in the win.
