Robber flees with $25 from woman’s home

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

Spokane police are searching for a woman who entered the home of an 87-year-old woman and stole $25 early Tuesday morning.

Police said the robber, described as white, 5 feet tall and 150 pounds with a short blond ponytail, knocked on the door of a home in the 2500 block of East Queen around 6 a.m.

When the victim opened the door, the robber forced her way inside and demanded the woman’s purse, police said.

While looking for the victim’s purse, the robber pushed the woman to the floor, giving her minor injuries, police said.

After ransacking the victim’s home and finding some cash, the robber ran out the front door and jumped into the passenger side of a white mid-sized car, police said, and the vehicle fled west.

Police request that anyone with information about the robbery call (509) 532-9266.
