Fairfield City Council – The council heard a presentation on skate park progress and a report from the Spokane County Conservation District. Council members approved interlocal agreements with the Spokane County Prosecutors Office and the Spokane County Parks Department and a consultant agreement with Century West Engineering for design work on two bridges. Liberty Lake SCOPE – A representative of the Valley Fire Department spoke about plans to alleviate congestion at this year’s Fourth of July celebration. Volunteers will restrict on-street parking on all streets south of Inlet to avoid last year’s problems with emergency crew access. Volunteers are also mobilizing to help with several public events planned in Liberty Lake this summer, including an upcoming bike rodeo, fun run and the Ironman. (Source: Wendy Van Orman)
