Lutheran churches offer youth soccer camp

Today is the first registration day for a new kick soccer program being put on this summer by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Christ Lutheran Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

The half-day soccer camp for kids ages 7 to 18 will be offered July 31 to Aug. 4.

Interested children may come to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, from 9 a.m. to noon today.

Additional registration sessions are scheduled at the church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The camp, which will focus on fundamentals, will be taught by qualified coaches.

Session times will vary by age.

Elementary-age children will attend an evening vacation Bible school session in addition to the soccer camp.

All sessions will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Space for the program is limited. The cost is $20 for elementary school children and $50 for older children.

Schedule change

Millwood Presbyterian Church will begin its summer worship schedule on Sunday.

There now will be one combined service at 9:30 a.m.

The church is at 3223 N. Marguerite Road.
