Kelowna rallies from 3-0 deficit to beat RiverHawks
The RiverHawks could only hold out for so long.
An RBI double by Greg Swertfager immediately followed by a run-scoring single off the bat of Ryan Lee scored the deciding runs in the eighth inning as Kelowna knocked off Spokane 5-3 in West Coast Collegiate Baseball League action Sunday in Kelowna, B.C.
The Falcons (2-1) scored five times in their final three at bats, overturning a 3-0 lead the RiverHawks (1-2) had gained after Brian Yardley had doubled in Tyson Van Winkle in the top of the sixth inning.
Leadoff man Paul Martin, Darin Holcomb (Gonzaga and Shadle Park) and Brian Yardley (Community Colleges of Spokane) all went 3 for 4 for Spokane, with Martin also scoring a run and Yardley driving in two.

Russell Grove shot a 69 to finish the two rounds at 139 to win the championship flight of the Liberty Lake Amateur, a Toyota Series of Golf event.
