Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on the Mansfield Crossing building, making the 54,000-square-foot project the latest addition to the Mirabeau Point area.

The three-story professional building is empty now, but the building’s owners believe it’s the right place for the right time.

“The area has really blossomed,” said Robert Smith of Centennial Properties, the developer and owner of the building, which is valued at about $3.9 million. Its location is near the Spokane Valley YMCA and next to the Centennial Trail.

Centennial Properties is a real estate company owned by Cowles Co., which also owns The Spokesman-Review.

Mansfield Crossing’s tenants will likely include a variety of companies and perhaps a restaurant, Smith said. As development increases in the Mirabeau Point area, it becomes more desirable for companies looking for a midpoint between downtown Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, he said.

One potential tenant is looking into renting the entire 14,875-square-foot third floor, the size of more than three basketball courts, Smith said.

The second floor contains about 2,000 less square feet than the third, and the first floor is divided into two roughly 6,000-square-foot sections. One of those sections could become a restaurant. It has a patio and an area for outdoor seating, as well as a walkway to an arbor.
