WASL summer school registration open
By now sophomores throughout the state have received an individual score report from their schools that lets them know if they’ve passed the reading, writing and math and sections of the WASL exam.
These 10th-graders are the first class required to pass all three portions of the WASL to earn a high school diploma.
It’s not too late for students who didn’t pass one or more portions to enroll in summer school to help them prepare for a retake of the test.
The next WASL retake for 10th-grade students is scheduled for Aug. 7-10 statewide.
Students must register online at www.k12.wa.us/waslregistration or by calling (866) 400-WASL Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The state will direct students to a testing site in their home school district, unless a student asks to take the exam elsewhere. Students do not have to take the test in their home district.
