1939 World’s Fair

Larry Cox King Features Syndicate

Q: I have a series of 12 postcards that were printed to promote the 1939 New York World’s Fair. I have been offered $100, but I do not feel that is enough. — Josie, Ormond Beach, Fla.

A: According to three collectors I consulted, postcards from the 1939 World’s Fair are fairly common. Your postcards are probably worth between $2.50 and $5 each. If you have been offered $100 for the set, my advice is to take the money and run.
