EUGENE, Ore. – Three Spokane pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout, striking out 10, as the Indians defeated the Eugene Emeralds 1-0 Tuesday night in a Northwest League baseball game.

Michael Wagner pitched five innings, followed by Glen Swanson (1-0) and Brett Zamzow.

Spokane scored in the eighth. After Johnny Washington singled, Craig Gentry reached on a fielder’s choice, then stole second and third before Nickolas Cadena grounded out, with Gentry holding. Grant Gerrard struck out on a passed ball, allowing Gentry to score.

Zamzow escaped a bases-loaded ninth.
