Grace Gospel next on Doing It list of projects

The Spokane Preservation Advocates’ Doing It project this month will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Grace Gospel Church at 2303 N. Washington St.

The church was built in 1919 of clinker brick. There is a high wood vaulted ceiling in the church with a squared tower in one corner of the exterior.

Participants will be cleaning the interior walls in preparation for paint. Wear work clothes and bring pails, rags and gloves.

“ The Hillyard Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

“ The Chief Garry Park Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the Stevens School Library, 1717 E. Sinto Ave.

“ The Northwest Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd. Topics will include the Spring House Greening program.
