Pancake event raises $5,300

More than 6,000 free pancakes were served by four Spokane and Coeur d’Alene IHOP restaurants and $5,300 raised for Young Life youth groups in a National Pancake Day fund-raiser last week.

“We did well, but it was more than money,” said Tom Davis, area director for Spokane Valley Young Life. “It was a great partnership with IHOP and a chance to reach the community and let them know about Young Life.”

IHOP customers were invited to make a donation to Young Life for every short stack of pancakes served.
