Temple plans annual kosher dinner Sunday
Temple Beth Shalom, 1322 E. 30th Ave., is holding its 65th annual Kosher Dinner Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Items on the menu will include beef brisket, potato knishes, appetizers, carrot tzimmes, spiced apples, apricot kuchen and challah bread.
Visitors also will be treated to music from Chutzpah, the Mavens and jazz group the Kosher Redhots.
Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $6 for children 11 and younger.

Novena of Grace
St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone Ave., is presenting the 79th annual Novena of Grace services Saturday through March 19.
The Rev. Robert Fitts and Sister Celeste Crine will lead the nine-day prayer series in honor of St. Francis Xavier during three services daily at 12:15, 3:30 and 5:15 p.m. The Sunday services will begin at 12:30 to allow for the regular Sunday liturgies.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered 45 minutes before each service. Anyone who wishes to receive the sacrament of anointing the sick may receive it during all of the services March 18.

Benefit concert
The Interfaith Council is hosting a concert Monday at 8 p.m. at The Met, 901 W. Sprague Ave., to support Interfaith programs.
Ann Fennessy and the Spokane Youth Symphony will perform music from the movie “The Basket,” which was filmed and produced in Spokane.
The evening also will include a performance of “Disposable Dances” composed by Don Caron.

Silent auction
First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St., is presenting its annual Easter Project Auction Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m.
This year’s auction, “March Madness for Missions,” will benefit a mission to Tijuana, Mexico, to build houses.
Items on the block include baskets, meals at restaurants, jewelry and crafts.
