Shop handles copiers, printers
The days of single-purpose copy machines will soon come to an end, if Cleayton Mills has anything to say about it.
His fleet of polished plastic photocopiers does more than just spit out pages: They scan documents, e-mail them and print them at blazing speed.
“It’s pretty high quality,” said Mills, the sales manager for Toshiba Business Solutions in Spokane Valley. “Everything is multifunction.”
Mills and his staff of about 19 sell copiers and printers throughout the region, and his office also manages two branches in Helena and Missoula.
The demand is mostly in business-to-business communication, Mills said. In the digital age, copy machines have taken on a new role. They’re connected to other computers and can handle multiple tasks at once, he said.
“We can help anybody who needs a copier from 12 pages a minute to 105 pages a minute,” he said.
Toshiba’s computer-making background helps, he said.
“Toshiba is a computer company by nature, and they’ve gleaned a lot of the technology from the computer division,” he said.
Toshiba Business Solutions held an open house and ribbon cutting with the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, but the company has been working from its office in the International Gateway Corporate Park for more than a year. It is at 10020 E. Knox Ave., Suite 400. Call 922-2811.
“We’ve been doing excellent, and our other offices are doing well, too,” Mills said.
