Baseball tarnished

Baseball: The All-American game. Babe Ruth: The home run giant (drug of choice: booze). Barry Bonds: the what? (drugs of choice: steroids and growth hormones).

You know what really bothers me? The quote by Sam Perlozzo in the article March 8 , “Bonds juiced 5 years …”), “But we don’t know how many did it. Maybe everyone did.”

That just doesn’t matter because it’s just wrong. Obviously they know that or they wouldn’t use an “undetectable designer steroid.”

Some may think it’s not important, but for me “sports” means fair play … team against team … man against man… not man against a juiced up Hulk.

Ahhh, the All-American Game: Win at any cost. Ya gotta love it.
