Gunman fires at North Side house

The Spokesman-Review

A gunman blasted a 3-inch hole in the front door of a home in the 1800 block of West Maxwell on Monday morning.

Police said a 40-year-old woman was sleeping on a living-room couch 17 feet from the door when the shooting occurred about 3:45 a.m. She wasn’t injured, but a cabinet was damaged.

Officers said it appears the blast came from a shotgun. They were trying to locate people who had been involved in a fight at the house several hours earlier.
