Firefighter’s Cask and Keg Friday

The Spokesman-Review

If sipping a variety of wines and brews is your way of spending a fun evening, check out the fourth annual Cask and Keg fund-raiser Friday sponsored by the Spokane Valley Firefighters’ Benevolent Association.

The evening at the Mirabeau Park Hotel, 1100 N. Sullivan Road, includes representatives from local wineries and breweries as well as silent and live auctions. The $30 admission gets you a wine glass, eight tasting tickets and a few hors d’oeuvres. If you find you’ve done a little too much tasting, the hotel will be offering discounted rooms for the evening.

The event is the organization’s major fund-raiser. The association is a nonprofit organization that donates to charitable agencies. In years past the money raised has been given to area food banks, Toys for Tots, Hurricane Katrina victims and Sri Lanka tsunami victims. The group also assists people who have lost their homes to fire.

Call Patty at 939-8722 for tickets.
