About 15 Spokane police officers in 10 cars swarmed to a home in the 3200 block of East Fourth Avenue on Tuesday night when members of the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force called for emergency assistance during a raid.

Officers were concerned that “one of the individuals inside was armed,” said Sgt. Joe Walker, one of the Spokane police officers who responded to task force members’ call for help.

An ambulance also was called to deal with an unspecified injury.

Walker had no information on the injury but said no officer was injured and it appeared no shots were fired.

Shards of glass dangled from a picture window in the house’s living room that had been smashed, but it was unclear if one of the home’s occupants was cut.

The home is located behind the Fred Meyer store at 400 S. Thor.

One of the task force members, Washington State Patrol Sgt. Ken DeMello, declined to release any information on the raid.
