Liberty School District board position open

The Spokesman-Review

The Liberty School District is looking for someone to fill a vacancy on its board.

The position for Director District 1 was recently left vacant by the resignation of Tom Horlacher, who left the board for personal reasons, said Superintendent Duane Reidenbach. Horlacher was elected to the seat in 2001.

Applicants must be registered voters living within the boundaries of the district, located around the towns of Latah and Waverly, extending from the Idaho border north to the Freeman School District, west to the boundary of the school district five miles west of Highway 195, and south of Truax Road, near the town of Fairfield.

Applications will be accepted until April 20.

The board then will appoint a person to fill the position until the next election, in November 2007, when the new member may seek election to the seat.

Applications and information are available by calling 624-4415.
