Just about everyone one on the planet believes they are an expert when it comes to real estate. Nothing wrong in thinking that way but chances are the real estate ace may be missing out somewhat on the facts.

The truth is that no one knows the value of a home with more accuracy than a REALTOR®. Appraisers rely on the information provided by REALTORS®; so do assessors.

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® provides the latest market information to its members. Up-to-date market data include homes that have been sold, at what price and also covers homes that are currently for sale.

Because of the accuracy and value of this information, the REALTOR® is way ahead in providing the kind of data that buyers or sellers need — and the material is available via the MLS on the agent’s computer.

Another reason the REALTOR® is on top of the marketing information is because that is what they do — provide data to their clients about neighborhood, schools, and everything else buyers need to know.

With the information available, plus photos of the home for sale, buyers have virtually all they need or want to know. The agent can provide information about similar homes in an area they are interested in by knowing the prices for which those homes sold.

REALTORS® can be a fountain of information. They look constantly at homes that are new on the market to locate for clients who have desires for certain style and location in the city. They know the price for which the homes will eventually sell.

Work with your local REALTOR® — they know the market.
