SAN ANTONIO – About 36 hours after wrapping up a first-round series in Sacramento, the San Antonio Spurs will have to muster the energy to take on the Dallas Mavericks in the opening game of the Western Conference semifinals.

A 60-win team is going to be eliminated before the conference finals. This is only the third time in league history that two teams with that many regular-season wins have met in the second round.

The most relevant topic for Game 1 is rest. Did San Antonio get too little? Or did Dallas, which has been off since Monday, get too much?
