Idaho 5A Region I: Allie Downey’s victories in the long jump (15 feet, 3 inches) and triple jump (33-3/4) boosted Lake City to victory in the girls meet in Lewiston. The Timberwolves scored 76.5 points to defeat the host Bengals by five. Coeur d’Alene scored 38. … Lake City (80 points) also won the boys meet, despite four event wins by Lewiston’s Matthew Grogan. Grogan won the 100 meters in 11.32 seconds, then followed with wins in the 100 hurdles (15.24), 300 hurdles (40.01) and long jump (21-9).

Idaho 4A Region I: Steven Farr won the 1,600 (4:32.72) and 3,200 (10:13.11) to lead Moscow in a rout of the boys meet in Lewiston. The Bears scored 112 points to defeat Post Falls (79), Sandpoint (41) and Lakeland (40). … In the girls meet, Kelsey Taylor won the shot put (40 feet) and discus (125-6) to lead Moscow (94 points) to a narrow victory over Post Falls (86). Sandpoint (52) and Lakeland (37) were further back.

Idaho 3A District I: Bonners Ferry leads the boys and girls after five finals each after the first day of the two-day meet at Timberlake.

Idaho 2A/1A Region I: Darcy Collins’ high jump and Nikita Amy’s shot put victories put Kootenai in first place in the girls’ meet after the first day of events in Kamiah. The meet will conclude today.

Idaho 3A District I: Kellogg routed Bonners Ferry (0-11) 21-4 in a loser-out game in Spirit Lake. No details were reported. … Rayna Eisses was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored as St. Maries (10-10) defeated Priest River (9-9) 10-1 for a district title berth. … Kala Allred threw a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and hit 2 for 2 with four RBIs to lead host Timberlake past Kellogg (4-10) 11-1 in five innings. Brittany Amende scored four times for the Tigers (19-4), who will face the Lumberjacks in today’s championship game.

Washington District 8 4A: Sam Skillingstad threw her third perfect game of the season, striking out 18, as Shadle Park defeated Mt. Spokane 4-0 in a semifinal game at Whitworth’s Marks Field. China Frost and Robin Conrad had the only hits for the Highlanders (21-0), who will face University in Tuesday’s championship game. … Theresa Tveit hit a pair of doubles with an RBI to lead University (18-3) to a 3-2 victory over Central Valley. CV (15-6) will face Mt. Spokane (15-6) in Tuesday’s third-place game.

Great Northern League: Sabrina McCollough hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Deer Park a 4-3 win over host Lakeside to open a doubleheader in Nine Mile Falls. In the nightcap, Lacey Jordan and Danielle Zidack combined on a no-hitter as Lakeside (7-11, 5-7) routed Deer Park (4-13, 2-10) 13-0 in five innings. … Caitlin Smith had six RBIs and struck out eight batters as Medical Lake routed visiting Riverside (4-14, 1-11) 24-1 in five innings to open a doubleheader. In the nightcap, Chelsea Hardenbrook hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth as the Cardinals (15-5, 8-4) completed the sweep with an 8-7 win.

Baseball

Idaho 3A District I: Jeremiah Bodecker had two RBIs and two runs scored to lead Priest River to a 4-3 victory over Bonners Ferry (12-6) in a semifinal game in Spirit Lake. Freshman Brian Nelson struck out eight in three innings to get the save for the Spartans (8-9). … In the other semifinal at Timberlake High, St. Maries routed Kellogg (1-16) 21-4 to set up today’s district championship matchup with PR. Tucker Baker had a pair of three-run doubles for the Lumberjacks (13-4).
