Fire District 2 (Fairfield) – Commissioners voted to buy new wildland fire turnout gear. A new suspension system has been installed in one of the ambulances. Several district EMT’s recently took a class on farm machinery accidents. Commissioners also decided to purchase a new propane tank for Station 21 and install an exhaust fan system in the same station. (Source: Chief Adam Brannon)

Edgecliff SCOPE – Volunteers discussed preparations for today’s Junior Lilac parade and a bicycle safety class for youth at Pratt Elementary. The donated clothing that volunteers have collected will be distributed to residents from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pratt. Volunteers also will elect new SCOPE officers at their next meeting in June.
