Who could resist “Molly, Pete, and Ginger,” the tumbling playmates who fill the pages of a 1940s school book?

Kate Wieber couldn’t.

Wieber picked up the book while shopping at the recent Spokesman-Review’s “Everybody’s Bazaar” sale.

Wieber has a fondness for antiques of all kinds, and she liked the vintage look of the cover. She says it will probably go to her nieces and nephews.

“There’s something cute about it,” Wieber said, “and it will help them learn to read.”
