Report faults officers’ behavior

Associated Press The Spokesman-Review

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Two Corvallis police officers violated regulations when they posed for photographs with lingerie-clad women while investigating a noise complaint at a college party, an internal affairs investigation has found.

In a recently released report, Corvallis police officials said officers Jason Harvey and Ryan Thayer violated several department policies, behaving in ways that would “adversely reflect upon the city” or bring the department into “disrepute.”

The report said Harvey and Thayer did not break any laws, and their activities did not interfere with their duties.

Thayer resigned in March after accusations that he had sex while he was supposed to be on patrol, then lied about it.
