Week in review

Newman Lake SCOPE – Volunteers discussed their road patrolling and placing a radar unit near the middle school. They also discussed plans for their annual hot dog fund-raiser at Trent Avenue and Starr Road July 1-2.

Fire District 13 (Newman Lake) – The pool of applicants for the job of fire chief has been narrowed to three. The selection committee plans to interview the finalists in person in June.

West Valley SCOPE – Volunteers put the final touches on their plans for the West Valley Days celebration in the Millwood City Park next Saturday. They also discussed plans to patrol Centennial Trail trailheads to deter car prowling.
