At the recent Everybody’s Bazaar, sponsored by The Spokesman-Review, Alexandra Davis was packing a bargain.

Davis, who has a space at Main Street Antiques in Spokane, was shopping for resale when she spotted the vintage valise.

Old suitcases are popular with decorators now. They provide interest and offer additional storage. Davis doesn’t expect it to be around the antique shop for long.

“Oh, these things sell pretty fast,” Davis said. “For dealers like me, they are the bread and butter.”
