Students arrested during prank test run
Three Freeman High School students were arrested on burglary charges early Sunday after trying to pull a prank for the last day of school.
Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the school on Highway 27 after a silent alarm about 2:45 a.m.
The teens, two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old, pried open a classroom window to gain entry to the school, and were found inside armed with a blow gun, a night-vision scope and walkie-talkies, and dressed entirely in black like “ninjas,” said Sgt. Dave Reagan, sheriff’s spokesman.
One student told deputies he “master-minded” a plan to plug door locks to prevent students and staff from entering the last day of school June 9. Sunday likely was a test run, Reagan said.
The teens were booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of second-degree burglary, a felony. A misdemeanor charge of possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds is pending against the 15-year-old, Reagan said.

Nearly naked man charged with stalking
A 33-year-old Spokane man was arrested Monday after he was found sitting nearly naked outside the home of an espresso stand worker, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said.
The barista, a 20-year-old woman who works at an East Sprague coffee stand, called authorities about 4 a.m., said Sgt. Dave Reagan, sheriff’s spokesman.
She told deputies she saw someone in a Ford Explorer parked outside her home on East Brentwood in north Spokane County. She and her mother watched as the man walked around to her bedroom window.
When deputies arrived, they discovered Scott Keith Gallagher, wearing only a T-shirt. He had pornographic material in the vehicle, Reagan said.
Gallagher was already wanted on an outstanding warrant in Okanogan County. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of stalking, second-degree criminal trespass and possession of methamphetamine, which deputies found inside his car, Reagan said.
In October, Gallagher was cited for indecent exposure after a woman complained he was walking around naked, next to a sign that read “Sex Wanted.”
