It’s a quiet week at the SCRAPS shelter. The dogs are calm from the rain, and the cats are sleeping soundly in their cages.

But one cat was exceptionally friendly when she was approached this week.

Cosby is a beautiful lynx-point Siamese cat and has longish, fluffy hair. She has brilliant blue eyes and is very friendly and somewhat talkative.

She’s an adult and has lost many of her kittylike habits.

Anyone interested in adopting Cosby or other animals can visit the SCRAPS shelter at 2521 N. Flora Road, call the shelter at 477-2532 or visit the Web site at www.spokanecounty.org/animal.

Cats cost $55.68 to adopt, which includes a license, neutering, vaccinations, a microchip implant and a trip to the veterinarian.
