Eagles reach Sky finals 7th consecutive time
Addie Webster had 16 kills and Amanda Yausie added 31 assists as No. 3 Eastern Washington beat second-seeded Portland State 30-26, 32-30, 34-32 Friday night in a Big Sky Conference volleyball tournament to reach the title game against host and regular-season champion Sacramento State.
The Eagles move on to the championship match for the seventh consecutive season and will play the Hornets (28-5), who swept Northern Colorado tonight at 7.
Chrystal Johnson added 13 kills and Mandy Daniels had 16 digs for Eastern Washington (20-8). The Vikings finish 19-7.
EWU and Sacramento are both riding six-game winning streaks. The Eagles reached 20 victories for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons.
The two teams have played for the title the last six years. Sacramento defeated EWU twice this season, sweeping at home and edging the Eagles in five games in Cheney.

Stacey Sode recorded 30 digs for the Vandals (10-17, 9-6).
Hawaii is 23-5 and 15-1 in the WAC.

Tara West had 18 kills and Corina Beyer added 48 assists to lead the Cougars.
Washington State fell to 15-15, 3-13while the Wildcats improved to 13-16, 4-13.

The Huskies (24-3, 14-2) remain tied with Stanford for the lead in the Pac-10 race with three matches remaining, including a head-to-head match vs. the Cardinal next week on the road.
ASU fell to 14-14, 6-11.
