Global Credit Union has hired Mellie Price as a graphic designer in the marketing department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Western Washington University and previously worked as a freelance designer.

Don Jamieson has been hired as a commercial sales and leasing agent at Tomlinson Black Commercial. He previously worked as national sales manager at August Systems Software and holds a law degree from Gonzaga University.

John Shaw has been hired as a sales associate at Cheney Realty. He previously worked as a retail store manager and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Telect has hired Mike Peterson as vice president of sales and marketing. He previously worked at IBM, Cisco Systems and Eli Lilly, and holds an engineering degree from Washington State University.

Sarah McCracken has been hired as a staff accountant in audit services at Magnuson, McHugh & Company. She holds a degree in business administration from Washington State University.

Asuris Northwest Health has hired Bob Boone as a medical services consultant. He has over 30 years of experience in health care and holds a degree in nursing from the University of Washington.

Bonnie Abernethy has been hired as the quality of life program manager for the American Cancer Society. She previously worked as program director of SCOPE and holds a degree in communications and social science.

Advanced Input Systems has hired Jason Altsuler as a PCB designer. He previously worked at Radisys Corp. in Hillsboro, Ore., and holds an associates degree in electronic engineering technology from ITT Technical Institute.

Coldwell Banker Northwest Group has hired Sandy Ogle as a sales associate. She previously worked at Tamarack Realty.

Telect has hired Abelia Sloey as a packaging engineer.

Jason Sloey has been hired as new product development manager at Telect. He previously worked as director of engineering at Northstar Systems.

Dr. Eric Anderson is a new family medicine provider at the Moran Prairie Rockwood Clinic. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Medicine and previously practiced with the U.S. Air Force at Fairchild Air Force Base.

Zeck Butler Architects has hired Mark King as a project architect. He previously worked at Kenneth Hays Architects in Sequim, Wash. and is a graduate of Washington State University.

PROMOTED

Paul Harrington has been promoted to associate principal at OMS Inc. He has been with the company for three years.

Larry Ross has been promoted to head of operations at Mustard Seed and Noodle Express in Montana and Washington. He was previously an operations manager for Mustard Seed Management Company.

KUDOS

Heritage Funeral Home has received the 2006 National Funeral Directors Association Pursuit of Excellence Eagle Award. This is the fourth year in a row the funeral home has received this award.

Gonzaga University has honored the following with Distinguished Alumni Merit Awards: Gene McKay, class of 1957; Mary Loeken, class of 1977; Fredrick Brown, class of 1982; and Brady Strahl, class of 2003.

APPOINTED

Larry Kuznetz has been appointed as vice chairman of the Washington State Bar Association Disciplinary Board. He is an attorney at Powell, Kuznetz & Parker.

GIFTS

Alternatives to Domestic Violence has received part of a $50,000 Allstate Foundation grant to the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The funds will be used to help survivors become financially independent.

Kathy Bush has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award from the Allstate Foundation. The award comes with a $500 grant that will be donated to the Kiwanis International Coeur d’Alene, where she volunteers.
