CC Spokane comes up big late

Eric Beal had 21 points and eight assists as CC Spokane beat Clark (0-3) 69-65 Friday at the Red Devil Basketball Classic in Longview, Wash.

Down four with 3 minutes left, Beal hit a 3-pointer to bring the Sasquatch (2-2) within one. On the next possession, Zach Gianukakis hit a 3-pointer to give CCS a two-point lead the Sasquatch wouldn’t relinquish.

Bo Gregg had 11 points for CCS.

• Scott Stockwell had 26 points to lead North Idaho to a 94-79 win over Grant MacEwan College at the Pepsi Cardinal Classic in Coeur d’Alene.

Nick Livi added 17 points for NIC, who outscored the school from Edmonton, Alberta, 56-43 in the second half.

Kerry Williams did a little bit of everything for North Idaho (4-2). Williams had 10 points, eight assists, six rebounds and six steals.

• Also at the Pepsi Cardinal Classic, Jarvis Bearstail had 21 points and seven assists to guide United Tribes to a 101-92 victory over NBC Thunder.

Former Gonzaga point guard Winston Brooks led the Thunder with 20 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.
