UMC plans weekly Advent dinners

Now that Thanksgiving is over and gone, Advent is just around the corner. The Spokane Valley United Methodist Church will observe the four-week preparation for Christmas with a series of weekly Advent dinners.

The meals will be served at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday through Dec. 20. Each meal will be preceded by Christmas carol singing at 5:15 p.m. and followed by a program. The first meal will be served Wednesday. Dinners are by donation. Those attending are also welcome to bring a donation of nonperishable food for the Spokane Valley Food Bank.
