Reward offered in hunt for suspect

The Spokesman-Review

Secret Witness is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of a Spokane teen wanted for robbery.

Andre A. Conway, 17, is wanted on a charge of first-degree robbery, said Spokane police Officer Teresa Fuller.

He is believed to be living in west central Spokane, Fuller said. Conway was described as 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He’s wanted for an incident in September in which a pizza deliveryman was robbed, Fuller said. Bail has been set at $100,000.

Anyone with information on Conway’s whereabouts is asked to call (509) 327-5111.

Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the reward but should use a code name or number.

Documents clarify robbery charges

Initial reports indicated a store clerk chased off Lisa Marie Moore with a bigger stick when she allegedly tried to rob him last month by putting a stick in her glove and pretending it was a gun.

But court documents charging the 24-year-old woman with attempted first-degree robbery say she simply got a better offer.

The documents say Moore entered Broadway Foods, 2229 W. Broadway Ave., on Oct. 24 and pounded her stick “gun” on the counter while demanding $40 from clerk Kumar Vinay.

Moore allegedly objected when Vinay pointed to the store’s bank machine, and a male customer asked whether she was “strapped,” meaning armed. He wanted to know whether she had “a piece.”

When she said she did, the man offered to buy it for $40, according to court documents. Moore agreed, and the two strolled out of the store but immediately parted, the documents say.
