Equine Play Day planned at Valley Mission Arena

The Fall Long-Ear Short-Ear Equine Play Day is Saturday at Valley Mission Arena.

Horses and mules are welcome this Saturday for a one-day-only fundraiser for the West Plains Community Fair. The 10-event competition includes games such as barrel racing, musical sacks and pole bending.

The show starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until late afternoon. Registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. and costs $4 per event or $80 for a family of four to participate in all events.

There are four age groups, ranging from children younger than 7 up to adult.

Participants may select their events a la carte. Prizes will be awarded in each category for the first six finishers.

Valley Mission Arena is at the bottom of Valley Mission Park, 11123 E. Mission Ave., Spokane Valley.
