S. Perry group seeks artwork for show

The South Perry Business Association is looking for artists who live in the South Perry neighborhood to participate in an upcoming Neighborhood Arts Show for the Nov. 4 Girl’s Day Out celebration.

The entry fee is $25, and applications must be received by Oct. 28. Applications are available at www.southperry.com. For more information, call John at 534-6697.

“The Spokane Community Assembly, which includes representatives from all the neighborhood councils, will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at City Council briefing room in City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

“The Community Assembly All City Traffic and Transportation Committee meeting for all neighborhoods will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the East Central Community Center at Fifth Avenue and Stone Street.

“The Comstock Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sacajawea Middle School, 401 E. 33rd Ave.

“The Southgate Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Educational Service District 101 Building, 4202 S. Regal St.

“The Cliff/Cannon Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Roosevelt Elementary, 333 W. 14th Ave.

“The Latah Valley/Hangman Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the former Tidyman’s at Highway 195 and Cheney-Spokane Road.
