Idaho sweeps to victory

Saxony Brown had eight kills and eight digs as the University of Idaho swept Fresno State 30-25, 30-25, 30-22 at Memorial Gym in a Western Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday night.

With the win, Idaho improves to 3-1 in the WAC and 4-11 overall and will face San Jose State on Saturday.

•Addie Webster had 27 kills and 18 digs as Eastern Washington defeated Montana State 30-26, 30-24, 24-30, 30-26 in Bozeman, Mont.

The Eagles have won their last two conference matches to improve to 9-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
