U-Hi beats NC 21-6

The University Titans were tested by North Central, but survived for a 21-6 Greater Spokane League victory at Joe Albi Stadium, its first road game since the season opener in Coeur d’Alene.

Tyler Carlson, who averaged nearly 10 yards per carry (182 yards on 19 attempts), scored touchdowns in each of the first two quarters and U-Hi increased the lead to 21-0 over the Indians (0-6, 0-5).

NC’s Aaron Robinson completed 21 of 25 passes for 208 yards and the touchdown.

Gonzaga Prep 35, Shadle Park 0: The GSL-leading Bullpups (6-0, 5-0) let their defense and special teams do the work in the shutout victory over the Highlanders (1-5, 1-4).

The first two touchdowns by Johnny Jones came following blocked punts. Gonzaga added three third-quarter scores, including David Kries’ 19-yard interception return.

Lewis and Clark 40, Rogers 0: The Tigers (5-1) scored in every quarter, by six different players, and had 345 yards of total offense in victory over the Pirates (0-5).
