Gordon, Chiado lead Pacific Lutheran past Menlo

Brett Gordon threw a pair of touchdown passes and Craig Chiado rushed for 132 yards and a score as the Pacific Lutheran Lutes cruised to a 34-10 Northwest Conference victory over the Menlo Oaks on Saturday in Atherton, Calif.

The Oaks (3-3, 1-2) jumped out to a 10-0 lead.

PLU (2-4, 2-1) took the lead for good on an 11-yard run by Gordon just before the first half ended.

Puget Sound 34, Willamette 26: Kavin Williams rushed for three first-half touchdowns and Brycen Bye returned a fumble 35 yards for a score in the third quarter to lead the Loggers (4-2, 1-2) past the Bearcats (1-5, 1-2) in Northwest Conference play in McMinnville, Ore.

Central Washington 28, Western Oregon 21: Mike Reilly completed 22 of 32 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Wildcats (4-3) to a non-conference victory over the Wolves (4-2) in Ellensburg.

Reilly threw for 151 yards and two scores in the first quarter as the Wildcats took a 14-6 lead.

Chris James had 12 tackles and recovered a fumble for CWU.

South Dakota 42, Western Washington 10: Stefan Logan ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns and the 14th-ranked Coyotes (6-1, 4-0) rolled to a North Central Conference victory over the Vikings (2-5, 1-4) in Bellingham, Wash.

South Dakota is tied with Nebraska-Omaha for the conference lead.
